Some of the first manager games, Football Manager, Football Director and Premier Manager all made you start at the bottom, so when I first played CM1 it was a natural progression.

Anyone remember the game where you got a newspaper style match report after a match or for the news? That was the first manager game I played, could have been CM for all I know.
I thought that was a pretty good feature.

The first football manager game I played was out in 1982 for the "Sharp" PC. This was pre IBM compatability.

first football management simulation I played was some game on C64...I had absolutely no idea about players back then, and thus picked a crap side, making my friends who I played with laugh.
