You guys are really weird In a good way though, I think. The fog has bown away and the sky is all blue.... I am thinking of better days. This has cleared up a lot for me, just as you know that. But I felt it was right to get some sort of introduction. I might had found what I was looking for by searching this forum, but afterall I find this the very best solution. To refresh your thoughts by answering a LLM newbie like myself.... That's probably why I chose to manage one of the weakest links in Division 3 instead of a Conference team. (Btw, I did manage Hayes on was it CM0102, does that count?) ;p I know bragging is not your style so I will not tell you guys how that ended....

Humph3; Even if you pretend to be a really weird dude, you're not fooling me. Maybe you manage to fool all the fools, but I am no fool.
I think that you are just a little bit confused. You're in the wrong place, maybe your childhood was ****ed up

I wonder what would happen if you guys had a go on a real game of Championship Manager. Where you used your IRL knowledge and signed all sort of players you were aware of no matter if you had scouted them or not. I think you all would fancy that! Imagine buying a £30M player instead of having to save for a season or two, not to mention three to buy a £30K player

get a grip lads, be weird, but not totally stoopid This is ment in a good way. I think maybe some of you guys are a bit sad. maybe you are holding on to these strict LLM guideline because you never managed to achieve any success in Championship Manager when playing it the way almost 90% at least do!! (And I am not talking about LLM'ing)

Cheers I think you are all great people!
Now, I have to get Yeovil up from the dark side of English Football and up to challenge for silverware... Aaaaaiiiiii!

We play it this way for realism (or as close to get to it as possible). We play it this way because we love it and when success comes it tastes all the more sweeter.

So it's not realistic that a manager got a certain knowledge of players? When the CM game starts in 2003/2004 season the knowledge you've got upon the years should be allowed to use. It's not that you were born and then got to take over a club, with noe experience and knowledge avout the football world however.... This is what I am wondering about at this very moment. Are there any guidelines to that? I bet Alan Curbishley and Kevin Keegan got a certain knowledge about the youngsters of the future through inside sources or the media in general. So turn off the tunnel vision and take your blinkers off (U all see?).....

I do believe some of the guidelines make it more relaistic, but not all of them. But this is a personal view, and I've learnt on this fine forum that LLM is about finding your way through the CM madness... You have to use your common sense and do what you think is right about the player search etc. So nothing is really right or worng, it's all up to the player who bought the game...
What about them who got an illegal copy? Are they allowed to play it their way? or should they follow any guidelines apart from buying it legally!

CMpOmPeL: Now you've gone and irritated me. Don't make the mistake of confusing "crap management" with "crap managers". A good many of the guys here began on the LLM trail because playing the way of 90% of CMers is way too easy and ultimately unsatisfactory as a way of playing LLM.

Read the Forum Header and try to play the game that way, then take your petty insults to another Forum.

My protective instinct of all matters LLaMa is beginning to come to the fore...
