Whenever I've tried sending my scouts abroad, they find some very decent youngsters and not one of them EVER wants to join my club. Such as scouting NI from Scotland, I thought I'd sign a few of the nippers and got blown out every time. In Scotland If I scout locally, every player is already at a club and so I can't get hold of any free transfers. |

playing large db in Scotland, with England (all divisions), Wales, NI, Ireland (i think that is all) and my scouts are a bit erratic, but for the most part on the mark with the number of players they turn up--or at least fine with me.
On a youth search I tend to get anywhere from 10 - 20 free unattached players and a handful and lower league clubs. Scouting say Scottish Second division I get a huge list of players many transfer listed or available for loan (which is why i've tried the competition scouting method).
I find the odd Romanian or Portugese player that pops up more worrying in a certain sense. Not in that fact that I'd be trying to sign the player at all, but just a general distrust of the programming in the scouting engine. Similarly, the scouting reports often don't reflect the same in the star ratings.

LOL I was scouting for youth and one of my scouts turned up with a young Jamaican guy from Portmore United, I have no idea where there from so could anyone shed any light?
What specs are you running for the large database and the UK by the way (I know it is more GQ but just needed to know :p)

My computer can just about handle all english leagues on medium!
I should be getting a new computer soon so a multi-nation LLaMa career may be in order! I have never been able to run more then one country on my computers, looking forward to it now |

In our EMA online game with one country and large db my scouts do find enough players. However, and this is really strange, most of the better ones turned out to be from Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago and other distant countries. Mind you, the scouts were sent to the UK. Some of them used to play for English clubs, but not all of them. Has probabably been mentioned before.

Exactly the same as me as I posted earlier, is this a common bug?

A lot of LLaMas have experienced it, so I suppose the answer is "yes".

Not me.
As said before some feel your scouts found them (no matter how dodgy) so go ahead and try. Others will stay away. Not to mention work permits.
