When you say as much as possible, jraldous, do you mean you would try & sell them for MORE than their value in the game, or just as near as possible to their value ?

The ability to be able to offer players for sale at inflated values & still get buyers (e.g set a price of £975k for a player worth £180K & get loads of interest) has always seemed to me one of the weaknesses of the game (01/02 that is) - but they sure seem to have addressed that in 03/04 !

If a club comes in with a bid, then obviously you ask for more, and meet somewhere in the middle

I find the notion of "value" in CM a little silly. Players can be worth a lot more/less to your team than the $ amount CM attaches.

Agree with jraldous. Though we often hear about player bids and so in the media, and i seem to recall the phrase that "the x club values the y player at such and such a price". And also the bids which come in for him are the exact value of the player or even a little less, and not 10 times more as in CM.

I've always wondered how is a player given a value at the first place.
