Firstly I haven't mentioned this to be bagged or given a hard time so all those who feel like 'flaming me' (I think that is the term) please refrain from that and try to help by answering question in the best way possible, thanks
Now thats out of the way, I was searching the forum and came accross a well known issue (noticed I didn't use the word B%* ) and SI know about it and have basically said "sorry guys, can't won't fix but it won't be in the upcoming new management sim" so my question is unlike prevoius versions of cm where it was possible to continue with your game after getting the sack or winning everything aparently it is near impossible to have a "career" within the game. For example you did well and another club approched you and offered you a job, or you got sacked and applied for another job with another club, in 03/04 it is well known this doesn't happen (I can attach link for those who doubt what i am saying).
Point is aparently now all you can do is play with club until sacked or you et sick of club then you must start a new game and your career is finished. With this in mind does this now mean LLM (as we know it from previous versions) career management now compromises that ability to try to achive success with the very game itself and that we are now limited to one club no matter how we do and in actual fact does this now render LLM (career) useless?
If so how can one really enjoy the prospect of getting offered career moves to higher clubs (even if it is up a division) from your hard work with your club say in Confernce or are you all happy to just play the club of your choice and then start another game when you have been sacked/won everything or just got bored with 03/04?
Now having said all this, has anyone in fact been offered work at other clubs whilst playing LLM or just playing the game as I explained above?
Lastly sorry for the long winded post but this was difficult to explain/get to the point/question etc, well you know what I mean/am trying to ask (I hope) , so with that I look forward to your replies.
Having enjoyed some limited success in the Belgian Third and Second divisions with Spa, I started to get job offers from some LL English clubs. Having climbed the league a bit further in a thrilling promotion race, I took a job at relegated Sunderland, but mysteriously my job offers dried up at that point, and no matter what I did with Sunderland, no club would look at me. I found it purdy strange. Not sure what it signifies.
Seamus has got it in one. Applying for a job immediately knocks you out the running. If you play on you will be offered posts and the same happens when you leave a Club or are sacked.
I got Aldershot promoted and was offered the job at Crewe, who had been relegated and had sacked their manager.
But yeah, I reckon it should have been patched too.
Thanks Guys, well I got my answer, seems I will be playing 03/04 for the depth but looks like I will be going back to 01/02 (with the new update, very recent and very good)
