i remember going into Recievership with Woking in Cm4 and it was bullsh!t, my best players got sold for peanuts. 3,4,5k and i would recieve crappy part exchange deals so the bank sorted out how much to pay them.
I ended up paying 3 crappy sh!te players which i never played £2,000 each.
The CM4 receivership was dodgy at best. I had a similar issue with Hamilton- took over the club in receivership. I finally managed to cut wages and get a positive cash flow, and got the message that receivers were letting me do transfers again. Problem is, they never left, and kept negotiating all the deals even though I got the finances up to insecure and was poised to get in the black that season.
And of course, to make it worse, I listed a high value (and high wage) player and the receivers (who were supposed to be gone) exchanged him for five players who I didn't know or want, whose combined wages pushed the wage bill over the limit and were 3 times the wage of of the guy I was dumping. It was rubbish all the way around
I may be able to answer your original question soon, anyway. Playing CM 03/03 with Scarborough, and i'm a million in the red. I've cut my wage bill to about my limit, from well over when i started, but i'm still losing money hand over fist with a tiny squad. I'm gambling on promotion through the playoffs this year (i'm 9th in january), or it's bigger cuts and hanging on for dear life for a few seasons from next year on. I don't know at what sort of debt level the receivers will be coming in, but it's looking inevitable.
