My game is running extremely slowly, on widows XP, processing takes about half an hour, what do you suggest?

takes half an hour to do what? it may be your processer or RAM, what are they both? XP will have very little impact on the speed it runs.

512 mb of RAM, 145gb of memory with 25gb free, but I don't think the computer is the problem it's never had any problems before.
My virtual memory is 2gb.

Is there any other programs running on your PC at the same time as you are playing the game (music players, downloaders etc)?

Have you checked for viruses or malware recently and, if so, with what programs?

Have you defragmented your drive recently?

There were no other programs running and I have already tried defragmenting but did involve every country and league will this make a big difference?

Most definitely will.

I would only run a small number of leagues with that amount of memory. I would suggest trying around 10 divisions (from wherever you like) and see if that is a little better for you.

if you only have 3 leagues you can manage in can you still manage international teams?

Yes you can but there needs to be enough players in the game of the nationality of the team you want to manage.

If you are looking to manage one of the larger nations (Spain, Brazil, England, Italy etc) this won't be a problem. If you want to manage a smaller international team you may want to load all of the players from that nation at the start of the game.
