I downloadede the latest patch with data. Installed it, and I accessed the editor and went to my favourite club, called Feyenoord.
To my surprise I see 2 strikers, both called Danko Lazovic, which is of course wrong. One born in Feb 1983, the other in May 1983 (the correct one).
The have similar stats and identical scoring records, so I know it is an error. I could of course remove the wrong one from the squad, ruin his stats and all would be solved.
But I somehow rather delete him from the database.
I don't want to keep or sell him because I feel that would be cheating, especially since his stats are rather good in the game.

You'd need to start a new game firstly.
But before you do that, load the pre-game editor. Do a search for him. Highlight him, click on Edit at the top, and then Delete Person. Save the changes, start a new game and voila!

Depending on what version you are running download the Mind Compression editor, you can edit within the game.
Just make the bogus player 40 and zero his stats, free transfer him or give him a long term injury and he will either disappear or retire very quickly.
I think the editor only works upto patch 6.0.2 at the moment, but you can check the mind compression website for more details.
