Default Releasing all players from their clubs in one league.

I want to set up a draft so that people (in real life) pick a player in a round robin style until they have a squad, kinda like the draft for the NFL (American football.)

To do this, I want to clear a whole league worth of club's so that they have no players. How easy would this be to do?

I was thinking the best way would be to set up a macro that does the following:

First off, I'd click on the team and then the list of players and select the first player. (i've never used the editor, i don't suppose there's a 'release from club' on the squad page, is there?) Anyway...

It'd click on a player, go to his contract, untick the box, go back to the squad screen, click on the next player. *stop* then repeat that over and over.

would that work?

anyone tried this before?

have I missed anything?

Thanks.

There is a file for download called "freedb" where all players worldwide are free agents. I have never used it or tried, but it sounds like it would do what you want.

I guess that doesn't answer your draft question, but I don't think there is such a thing in the game. You would probably have to have your own draft (outside the game) and assign all the players to the clubs yourself in the editor.

Yeah, that's what I planned on doing. I was just wondering if the macro I suggested was the best/only way to do this.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about macros. You want to assign players to teams in the editor after you do your own draft? If so, I'd load the "freedb" database into the editor and go from there. I'd think that would work the best and fastest.

Start up the editor -> search for the club you want to empty -> click squad -> click "Clear" -> Everyone's released.

Thanks. Took less than five minutes (after the three hour editor loading time.)
