Just downloaded it, but haven't tried it yet.

Although a backup is Always handy, just remember that FM2006 can pick up the database from alternative locations as explained here: http://www.sigames.com/sibase.php?type=view&id=166

Specially consider absolute paths (6.0.2 onwards only) as:

--database_location="/c:/my database/test update"

--user_data_location=<folder>

So, there is no need to overwrite the original database, a simple CThirdPartyDbs folder with subfolders for each version or test database is enough.

no it is definately the xml file u have. FM automatically reads xml files in it's directory. Getting rid of the xml file stops the problem.

I have had my own backup folder, which also has all my super leagues I have created plus normal leagues I have created, all compressed & it has never interfered by the way.

In the next release I'll rename the configuration file to another extension.

The file is there because when you have created your super league, you can reload the "modified" database based upon this xml configuration file and make some small changes.

also, "A premier Division" should really be considered a level 0 as clubs in there are at the top division in there nation.

Also, we should be able to make our own search string, or at least be able to search for more than two items in one thing.

That's an interesting error. It seems that the library cannot fully read club details; with all the database I've tested this never happens.

Is this the original db that you are trying of a modified one? If so, is there any possibility to have the server_db.dat ??

this error happens if you modified the database ,i also got this one .
it seems if you created a new club this occurs.
do you have any solutions.

I've had a look in the editor and had a 5 minute play around, I'm fairly sure I didn't save it though. How can I fix this?

There is a backup, so you shld be able to get the original db back.
Or is this not the question?
