just had a look at the teem instructions and they seem to contradict each other.

How do you manage to play the offside trap and counter attack at the same time cos to play offiside your back 4 pushes up and to counter attack you draw the opposition in

I often use the offside trap and counter combination aswell. It seems contradictory but it's just a game so it's not always realistic.

I've only played a couple of matches with this tactic and it seems solid although slightly vulnerable at the back. What I like about it though is that it allows the creative and skillful midfield players to shine. This shifts the emphasis away from tactics (a frustrating part of FM07) and onto long term squad building.
