Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Because the game is mcuh more adept at countering flaws in the engine? Or rather, more flaws have been prevented, leading to such tactics being nigh on impossible to conjure up?

Yes, it's true I'm afraid.. You actually have to think for yourself this time around

The Diablo Tactic

OK, season completed. 297 goals in 65 matches (not including own goals). I lost only one game in the season, which happened to be the league cup final against Man Utd, 1-0. However I made up for this by proceeding to beat them 5-0 in the EPL and then 7-4 in the CL final!

name apps gls asts MoM Av.R pos
Oskarsson 46 89 40 20 9.20 MC
Braathen 40(4) 42 28 8 8.68 FLC

Thompson 48 12 32 6 8.33 DMC
Roncatto 28(8) 41 13 6 8.00 FLC
Morgan 49 6 24 1 7.94 ML
Duberry 49 2 3 - 7.65 DC
Cerci 41(2) 56 24 5 7.60 FRC

Ohhhhh, the realism!!!! First, pinkfloydd slags off most of the forum in the Off-Topic Thread by telling us we are all idiots, before asking for a tactic that will turn the most realistic of all football management simulations into a farce. Diablo was probably the greatest tactic of all time because it helped SI patch the holes in the match engine and turn FM into a damn good game. But someone of your (limited) intelligence probably won't appreciate that.

If you want to play the Diablo way, and win every match without trying, it is easy to do. Play a game and restart if you lose. That way you'll win with as little effort as it would take to download someone else's tactic. You may strain your finger though, with having to click sooooo many times before you win a game.

And future advice, should you not be banned after your little run of childish messages, being nice to forum members may get you some respect and the help you seek. Your current abusive efforts will only get you thrown out.

@ Cleon: Sorry for even bothering to reply to this little snotrag, but he is the first person I've ever felt the need to put on my ignore list and I wanted to vent.

If you see a bad road, ignore it and take the best route. Its the same when you see dog crap, go around it and don't waste your creative time.

The essence of it was a MC or was it a AMC? Who had a forward arrow into the attack.

The AI couldn't stop that MC/AMC so he just kept on scorring. You had massive wins but it was almost only you MC/AMC who scored goals.

Not Fm2005. It was Cm02-03.
Lol Oskarsson was THE goal scorer. I remember someone posting him scoring 12 in one match who ended 17-0. Those were the times :p
