In a scenario where you whant your winger to man mark the opposition winger, what will be the difference between making my winger's marking setting to man-mark and to make him man-mark that specific player?
Man marking in general will mean that he will man mark whoever is close to him in his area which will usually be the player you specify to specifically man mark
Man marking is most beneficial for DCs against a particular forward or for a DM to mark one particular midfielder.
Ok, so man-marking in general settings on my winger will not make them track down their wingers (who by then would be closer to my full-backs" normally)?
So if I want to have my midfielders take on the duty of keeping their wingers at bay I would need to man-mark those specific players?
If you want, you get get your MR to mark their winger if you want it done in the middle of the park, or have it done by your fullback. Use man marking sparingly as it can drag players badly out of position if used with lots of your players.
