Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default arsenal late 90's style:possible discussion FM07

hello everyone i am an arsenal supporter and have already been succesful in replicatin there patient passin football in FM07 but i was wondering if there was a way to replicate the style the gunners used during the 1st couple of seasons under wenger especially 97/98 and 01/02 seasons where with short passin they gt da ball from one end of the pitch to the other in a flash. If anyone has any ideas of how this could be implemented into the game and begin a discussion on this sort of football, it would be very helpful.

thankyou

Make sure you hire coaches with low discipline and fire ones with high discipline. Sign players with high aggresion and low temperment. Set EVERYONE to hard tackling...try to average a red card per game.

Enjoy.

Short posession game playing fairly deep with target man supply to "run onto ball?"

you slag off someone trying to get some help in creating a certain way of playing, which could also help other people.

and then you come on here asking for the diablo cheat tactic(not that i am bothered whether you cheat or not its your game), which will not create a good tactical discussion.

incase you haven't noticed this is a tactical discussion forum not one to abuse people looking for help!

@ dbestfm: ignore pinkfloydd(you should probably put him on your ignore list) and other posters like him becuase they are prats, do not let him(or her)/them put you off posting in the future:thup:

as for your original question i have no idea lol, but maybe short passing and normal tempo?

oh and just 1 last thing: pinkfloydd; do us all a favour and get off these forums

Try playing a deep DL, your Defenders playing Direct Passing, the others very Short, Counter Attack, High Tempo and Normal Width.
Then adjust your players Instructions to match their ability and how you want them to play in their position (eg a DM just to defend should be on no FWR, while a DM that has to get to the edge of the Opp. area for Long Shots should be on Often, etc.)

Could you give us some more info on how you play right now, formation wise?

Cheers, R.
