Its a little bit different for each position because you have to look at different atts. But for defenders, I ususally look at Decision, Anticipatio, and positioning. Because those are the most important. If they are all 15 or above I'll give my defender 10. If they are less than I give him less. I hope this helps.

Now of course I have my different setting for away and home games. Low Closing down and Driect passing away. And Higher closing down and shorter passing at home. But if you look at all the stast I told you. His got 14 Ant, 15 dec, and 14 pos. Pretty good. His also got good passing as well. I can give this guy betwenn 7-10 CF. So just in case he chooses to close down a player anyway, or whoof the ball anyway. It can help a lot. A couple of time this guy, even though we played at home and his passing was low mixed, he made a nice long pass to one of my attackers and we scored a goal. So analyze each player carefully and you will do better.
