Default Amature teams going pro?

Just started a game with San Isidro in the 3rd best league in spain. I quickly found out that they where only an amature team and that i only could sign players on amature contracts. I actually enjoy this at the moment as it is quit fun, but i where wondering if it is possible for amature teams to go pro, as i would like to get better players and promote eventually.

I know that semi-pro teams can go pro, but does any of u out there know if amature teams can go pro? (or semi-pro and then pro)

Thanks in advance.

I don't know for sure but I would imagine so.

You'll probably go semi-pro, then pro.

The higher and further you go, the more likely to become Pro.

Ok, thx

I've just finished on an amazing 3rd place (media said 15 out of 16)so i've gotten into the promotion playoffs.

Hopefully i can secure myself a promotion and then probably go semi-pro

OK, to close this topic (and to answer myself):

I won the promotion and at the start of my first season in the 2nd best spanish league my chairman announced that the team was going fully proffesionel.

So yes, amateur teams CAN go Pro =)

Glad your club turned pro for you.

To answer in general though, I think it has alot to do with the raises in reputation of the club, the finances of the club, along with the level you're playing at.

In the Liga BBVA you've just been promoted to, I would be extremely surprised if my amateur/semi-pro club did'nt become professional.
