Banega is a class act on fm08 and previous editions but in my Real Betis game, hes wanted by the best (Barca, Real, Man UTD etc etc) but never performs to the best of his abilities. I play him as a CM instead of his natural DM position is this the reason why? Has anyone got the apserlute best out of this gem?

He is better at DM like, but he performed well for me at a CM position.

His tackling and positioning at the start of the game aren't good enough for DMC, but after a few seasons they will be. Be careful to check his preferred moves, he sometimes has 'dives into tackles' and can also be quite dirty. This can make him a bit of a liability in a defensive role.

Regarding retraining him to AMC, he has never had very good shooting in my games, which I think is very important for this role. I see him more as a creative player who sets up goals for others.

Im in my 4th season and I rotate him in both positions depending on injuries. H egts shed loads of assists and a few goals along the way too.
