I'm in early 2013 (6th season) with Nottingham Forest. I've finished 2nd two seasons in a row, and am really trying to push for the title this season. My real weakness is in defense, I've got no depth beyond Breno and Musacchio - so I'm looking to spend all my £38m budget on a world class CB.

Valencia currently have:

Zapata - 178/180, age 26 - can buy for approx £40m
Felipe - 178/185, age 28 - can buy for approx £37m
Barzagli - 185/18*, age 31 - can buy for approx £20m
Jack Hobbs - (Can't remember exact CA/PA) - available for approx £18m.

All are oddly at the same club, and have phenomenal defensive stats (20 in pretty much everything). My scouts say all would be quality signings.

So, which do you recommend?

I'm leaning towards Zapata because he's got better performance ratings, but that generally means little - Barzagli may be past his best, and Felipe seems most willing to leave. Then of course I could stick to English and buy Hobbs, but I'm reluctant because of his lack of experience. I had the similar aged Catchart but I gave up on him because he was getting 2 or 3 4/10 ratings per season.

I reacon you should get johnny evans , And Barzagli .

Try Breno...Got him for less than 10 million in my 4th season in one of my games. Dunno abt season 6 tho. Best part was Inter bought him n trained him up but didnt use him as they got Barzagli,Zapata, Felipe & Sakho. Transfer listed by request. He will get a wp easily.

He is pretty good, and his happy to just sit on the bench if someone better comes along.

Zapata is amazing man, buy him over any CB if you had enough money.

I'll go for Zapata I think, because he's younger and does look brilliant.

Jonathan Evans is a no go - he's a first choice player for Man U and they wont sell.
Barzagli is almost 32 so I think thats too much for a player who will be on the decline very shortly.
