recently started a game with newcastle and as you know they struggle for defenders! any suggestions

Ignashevich-free
Samba-£1.5m
Marcelo
Friedrich-Leverkusen is ok
Luis Perea is alright as well at Athletico Madrid
Edmilson at Barca might be availible
Breno- but he will only be availible to come to you from january.

How much money do you have? I've started with Newcastle too,so far p12 w5 d5 l2 and the defence hasnt been too bad.

started with 8mil, and have signed Ignashevich, am also debating whether to buy a striker or play smith up there?

You have Owen & Martins who are both great. I'd recommend spending just a little on a striker. Get Bogdan Stancu in for 500K or so. He'll be great backup and can step-up if needed.
