Would they not have to add 3 more leagues to England if they went down one more level instead of just 2?

I don't have the qualifications to really understand that pyramid

There are going to be changes to the level below the conferance from next season, I think. So it will be north/south divided.

No. One level below the Conference will be Conference North and South. Below that you'll have 3 more divisions but that would be 2 levels below the current Conference. Not holding my breath they'd implement those.

Sorry, should've said, "I'd hoped they'd" instead of 'I hope they'

quote:
I was talking to someone from a Doc Martens East club the other day (the mighty Burgess Hill Town) who said a couple of their younger players (first team regulars, not stars) were living off their football. Not spectacularly, but not working nonetheless.

I think the days of the £50 a week part-timer are long gone at Conference clubs, and probably will be in the new North and South versions.

Correct. There is one full time club below the conference (Grays), and with a few ambitious non league clubs around, this will probably increase in the next couple of years. I think the additions of the conference north and south to SI's list of leagues must surely be more of a priority than adding leagues in other nations where the lowest league on the game is already semi professional.

Wrong. Hornchurch are also a full time professional club. They're among the front runners to finish second in the Ryman Premier this season.

Really? When did they go full time? I would imagine Canvey will be full time next season too, but they will be in the conference anyway, I expect
