I declared an interest in a Real Madrid striker when I was managing Shrewsbury just to see what the reaction would be and I was told I was living in dreamland |

How's the weather for the Cardiff game tomorrow? Will the game go ahead?

No snow here anymore, it was turning to slush/water very rapidly by about 8am this morning. Guess the sudden melting may have caused the pitch to get a bit damp, but don't think the game is in doubt at the moment.

I saw on the Cardiff website that they were actually watering the pitch to help melt the snow, so I guess they're confident in the drainage and all systems are go!

England is well known to be full of poofs.
In reality, poof is a term of endearment and this term has been inherited from an older forum |

You missed the point in player knowledge. Of course most managers have heard of this player. But they won't scout him, because it's a waste of prescious time and money.
Do you expect the Scarborough manager for instance sending his sole scout to have a look on the french? What would be the purpose of that?
"Hey mister manager, i had a look at him. He has the best placed shot in Europe, and i reccomend him as an excellent prospect"
AND??? What do you expect a Conf or Div 3 club to do then? They got bigger problems trying to survive both on the field and on the financial aspects.
It's just common sense.

You need to read the whole thread. He also wrote "Maybe some day I'll make my team succesfull enough to be able to by that freakin' french magic man." He's asking about LLM ethics once you've gotten your club out of LL.

Oh ffs, do as you like. Wanna scout him? Go ahead. But, in LLM, you can't until a)you play against Arsenal, b) You get a news item about him, c) your scout reccomends him while searching for other players. You won't be able to sign him before you move up the leagues a bit, or if you have a good reputation. I really don't know what all this is about.
LLM ethics do not disappear when you get into the Premiership.
As i said before, it's a game. You're supposed to have fun out of playing it. I like to pretend i don't know the b@st@rd, or how tactics are working, or how training should be set up, and all that in every game i start. That's that, end of story.
This whole conversation is useless. Do whatever makes you happy playing.

Nice to see people not staying on topic
To actually put this back ON topic, I tend to do a bit of both, non-playing staff will be a mix of who I want, and who was already there. I never totally replace a coaching staff, I keep at least one familiar face, even though it probably does nothing, just one of my quirks. |
