Am I supposed to ignore all the knowledge i happen to know about certain footballers IRL, when playing llm-CM?? I mean if i for instance somehow know that this one French lad who keeps bagging goals for a north-London premier club would in fact be a quite could striker for my club...(hmmm...forgot the question)...oh yea, am i allowed to have my scouts check on the guy, if they somehow ignore him in their scouting trips? Did it make any sence??

And may i ask what business does that player have with an LL club?

As you climb up the leagues, some LLM obstacles are removed, as realistically as possible.

Hmmm, a Scot, a Welsh bloke, a Greek fella and the Finlander asks about Poofland?

Think I'll do an IP check...just in case

About as much as pie eating Scousers...

Hang on, I signed him for Doncaster Rovers in the zealot online game, after MFC Mark and Port Vale decided against signing him.

Wait a minute, are we talking about a French/Malaian bloke who used to play for West Ham?

I thought they were talking about the Arsenal goal machine.

I edited my post to make it more non-committal.

I thought we were talking about a former Arsenal guy was generally described as "unprofessional", "tw@t", "git" etc etc, and not their current goal-machine. That's why i got confused

Nah, ignore me. It's 7pm and i'm not awake enough to understand.Got who it is now

IRL, every fan of the sport in the world has heard of the player to whom you're referring, so I think it's silly to pretend that scouting this player is against LLM ethics. Unless you think it's realistic that a manager in the league you're in won't have heard of this player. Maybe you're managing in the Paleolithic People of the Amazon Basin League. Then no, you shouldn't scout the Frenchy.

But let's look at the American defender recently signed by Fulham IRL, or the 3rd division striker signed by Blackburn. Those are more realistic dilemmas. In those cases, I believe you should have to stumble across the playersin the course of your normal scouting.

You missed the point in player knowledge. Of course most managers have heard of this player. But they won't scout him, because it's a waste of prescious time and money.

Do you expect the Scarborough manager for instance sending his sole scout to have a look on the french? What would be the purpose of that?

"Hey mister manager, i had a look at him. He has the best placed shot in Europe, and i reccomend him as an excellent prospect"

AND??? What do you expect a Conf or Div 3 club to do then? They got bigger problems trying to survive both on the field and on the financial aspects.

It's just common sense.
