Default LLM? CM01-02 vs CM03-04.

What is the best CM to have a LLM career game on? I looked at Nobby Mcdonald's website which shows that you can have a good LLM game using CM 01-02 or is CM 03-04 the way to go with LLM?

Don't think I need to answer if you have seen my website.

It's only just beginning though Cobbler Mark II. Assuming I survive another season with Stafford or am able to get a job at the end of it if I don't.

Matter of personal preference for which game... I mainly play 01/02 because I find 03/04 too slow for my liking on my machine.

...whereas I wouldn't go back to 01/02 if you paid me, and I was the most anti-CM4 there ever was.

Each has it's merits.

CM0102 was a well polished stone which made a rainbow when held up to the sun.

CM4 was a piece of rock.

CM0304 is a roughly cut diamond.

FM will be the jewel in the crown.

Yeah, but CM 03/04 just ain't fun any more. It is like: "Oh, yeah, I could play some CM 03/04" instead of "I gotta play CM 00/01". And this is what bothers me a lot.

I'm enjoying 03/04 a lot. Got a game going in the French leagues and I've just started another in the Northern Ireland 2nd Div with Banbridge Town, proper grass roots stuff.

I play both 01/02 and 03/04, and I enjoy them both. 03/04 is great when I want to spend lots of time with fiddling around with details (2d!), but when I want to just play an evening and get some real progress done, I play a savegame on 01/02, and usually I can do a whole season in 3-4 hours.
It's both great.

I thought CM 01-02 was brilliant - indeed I had never been to the SI website until CM4 came out so even if there were loads of patches for CM 01-02 I wouldn't have known because I enjoyed it out of the box the whole time.

I could never go back now though because I like the 2D match engine, the more realistic finances (even though they are frustrating) and the new layout of player attributes. The new layout was alien to me to start because like everyone else I just got used to where to look for the stats I wanted for a particular position when they were alphabetical in CM 01-02, but now I'm so used to having them split into technical, mental and physical that I just couldn't return - that's purely a going back thing though - CM 01-2 was brilliant for the whole time I played it, CM 03-04 is excellent now also.
