I have started a new game in the Spanish second b division, I choose to manage a team called Castelan and they only have a stadium that holds 800 people  so the wage budget is a measley £3000p/w yet I went out and signed 18 spanish bosmans and now my wage bill is 24000p/w miles over my budget, First of all why the hell did the chairman let me sign so many players and second is this ok, going by the LLM rules as I want to make my game as realistic and hard as possible. Or should I restart my game and only sign a few bosmans for the sake of realism etc..

Thanks for your response in advance

Do you think that the real manager of this team would be able to sign 18 new players and vastly exceed the wage budget?
Remember the golden rule. If you have to ask if you are cheating, you probably are.
It's probably the least realistic thing I do in LLM, David, is sign loads of players regardless of the effect on the wage bill. The more the merrier is a fine adage
Is it not realistic, btw?
Look at the SPL. Livingston and Dundee in receivership pertially because of the ridiculous wages offered to average players, Hearts having to share a ground, Motherwell only just breaking even, in fact even Rangers are struggling.
Final word, you've had the reply from the Board regarding requests for Stadium Development, etc.? "You look after the Team and we'll look after the money!"
Bottom line David, if you're going to agonize over it and have a guilty conscience, then don't do it.
I can live with the consequences. If they sack me, or we go into receivership, or if we win promotion and manage to handle the overspend, then I look for another job, or play on with the players we're left with, or just get on with the job.
A wee bit cavalier, maybe, but I tend to do all right
Sign as many as you need. Not one more, not one less (that is, if they will join you).
You can go as far over your wage budget as you like, but you'll be fired at some point unless you improve the financial situation.
In CM, the chairman and the board don't play any part in players transfers. So, he didn't "let" you, you're on your own there. But he will fire you, blah blah blah.
