Remember those first few days when you purchased your 1st CM game. Well, I just discovered the game and even though I am a casual fan from the wrong side of the Atlantic, I am smitten by it. I have never found a sports sim that is so fulfilling and addicting as this one. I was also greatly surprised to find that you have an organized community of people like me, someon who would prefer to start small and work your way up to greatness, rather than stepping in to manage a UEFA caliber squad.
Please forgive me that the first side that I have chosen is Brentford. I chose them simply because they are the favored team of my favorite musician, Rick Wakeman. I realize that a 2nd div team is pushing it to be included in your hallowed ranks, but at least they start out as a particularly sorry squad, in debt up to their eyeballs, and desparate enough to hire someone like me to manage them. Any insight for this ambitious, addicted neophyte would be greatly appreciated!
If you're completely new to CM, I understand why you want to play in a higher league.
As you have never played CM before, we may decide to forgive you for this transgression if you are nice enough to us
Play the way you enjoy it the most. Don't get tips and don't compare yourself with how others get on with the game. That way, you'll learn to explore most of the facets of the game you are interested in.

Does anyone have any idea what that means? [/old man]

I totally agree! For me, this is one of the key points to the whole LLaMa way of playing: Take an annoying defeat like a man, and try again without running off to find some super-tactic
or give in to the temptation of Ctr-Alt-Del.
Lurking on this board and reading the threads has really given me inspiration to do just that

Can forgive you for Brentford, but I'm not sure about Rick Wakeman
Brentford's ground has a pub on each corner, won't hear a word said against them! Nought wrong with easing yourself in gently on your first go, but most in this forum would agree that more enjoyment and greater challenges can be found at a lower level.

A-League = good. But SI can't get name right. But that's just a jet lagged American translation. In reality, I have no idea wtf he's on about.
Thanks for the kind words, even if you apparently are not a Wakeman fan. Thanks for the insight about the pubs at each corner of Griffin Park. I guess I may run into some difficulties from the neighbors if I ever attempt to expand the stadium.
