Anyone else noticed that if you don't have your scout assigned to a country/region and just have him scouting players that you have requested him to scout, his scouting list also includes players that you have not asked him to scout?

You don't get a report, but last time I looked he had seven five star material players that he uncovered complete with a full deck of stats. I had to send him back to rescout them to give me a report on how good they were. It was something I just noticed for the first time on the weekend after four seasons on 4.1.5. :eek:

I've actually had the scout come back from a player scouting trip and tell me nothing new about the player I was interested in but loved some guy playing for the opposition in a reserve match he watched. Haven't seen it recently though, and I'm not sure which EP it was.

My scout at Pau has this evening excelled himself. On a French search, he recommended a Chilean who had just been released by Auckland Kingz. :eek:

That happened all the time in CM01/02, he'd watch a match with the guy involved, and he'd come back with a scouting report on him and mention other players who "caught his eye", I think the most I ever saw was like 4 other players.

Remember that now. Looks like the news report on these extra guys just doesn't happen in CM0304.

FFS..This game still throws things up at you even after all this time. :o

In my current save game, my scout recomended:
- 19yo Nigerian player, who played in French league;
- 20 yo German, who played in german Reginal liga
- 18 yo Russian, who played for Krilja Sovetov

Now it would be OK if I would be able to scout that countries + I sent him on scouting trip to Sweden

03/04 is so far advanced that it actually takes into account the scouts' Interweb forum, "Scout Your Borders? - Scréw That!" and various sad Scottish, Nigerian and Lithuanian scouts sitting up into the wee, small hours chatting about music and cherry coke and checking out the scouts' GPG Forum to save them some money and legwork to find players to recommend to your Club.

Have you got a better explanation?
