One of my left wingers demanded to be transfer listed earlier in the season. He wasn't getting many games because my other left winger was playing so well. I agreed to this, but kept giving him as many games as possible in the meantime.

I've just had a message saying he now wants to stay after all. There's nothing like perserverance to cure an unhappy player. :thup:

I particularly hate the clause that occasionally sneaks onto contracts: the non-playing clause.

If the player doesn't play a certain % of 1st team games that they are available for (75% IIRC) they can go for a release fee. Only ever seen this about twice in 01/02 though.

Right, I was always wondering why you couldn't offer that clause to players yourself.
