Being 0-2 up at Dundee United and then having my goalkeeper injured when I didn't have one on the bench brought a tear to my eye

I just had to keep trying to attack like stink cos I knew they'd score with every shot they had with my striker in goal...I lost 3-2

Last night, my 2 keepers of Barnet conceded a nice round total of 10 goals in 90 minutes. I only scored 6. That brought several tears to my eyes. Tears of rage and outrage though

From now on, it will be keepers() for me.

Btw, did anyone notice how the number of on-topic posts in the last threads keeps deteriorating?

still better than using deodorant as aerosol. I once had a mental blank like that, spraying shave lotion on the armpits. It was 4 a.m. though and I was really not awake at that time.

Heh. I've done the opposite, spraying deodorant in my hands for the best part of 10 seconds before realising it wasn't shaving foam. No excuses either, I was wide awake and not hungover or anything.

In CM01/02 I had a player come up through my Youth Academy, and after about 6-7 great years of service he was actually voted European Footballer of the Year. But he wanted to move to a bigger club than Heybridge, as you would expect.

So I put him on the list, and as anyone who's played 30+ seasons will know, a lot of the foreign clubs (playing in leagues not active) accumulate a shedload of money over the years, so a ridiculous auction of me negotiating, refusing, and re-negotiating several bids eventually saw me get bids of £100M cash.

By that stage I didn't know when to stop, so I even negotiated more sell-on clauses on top. Only for all the 7/8 clubs interested to pull out of the bidding completely. I'd no idea why.

A week later I got a message saying his contract had become unprotected, and Valencia poached him for £6M.

It always brings a tear in my eye, whe I am playing a derby or smthg and I am leading by a goal and we are really dominating the match and then in 93:43 after some meaningless atttack of opponents the ref decides, that it is a penalty shot. That really makes me wanna cry my guts out

I had a excellent young striker who spent some five, six years scoring loads of goals, attracting attention from big Italian clubs. Great I thought, when one placed a bid of $625K, his minimum release clause when I could have got alot more.

Well, he failed in Italy and several years later I managed to get him back to my club. Another couple of years on top of that he was back to his old best but much to my disbleif, shock, horror etc, another European club came and snapped him up dirt cheap on a minimum fee clause, which i neglected to deal with when i resigned him, instead of several million that i could have got. Such is life i guess.
