Puteolana plays in Serie C2C in a 12000 places counting stadium, called di Conte in Pozzuoli. Pozzuoli is located in a bay near Napoli.
Looking for Puteolana on the net resulted in a lot of results, but the main thing I found that the fans call themself Ultras Pozzuoli and they hate Giugliano, Foggia, Santanastasia in C2C and Casertana a lower division team.
In the beginning there's a debt of 580000 € and the board expects to battle bravly against relegation. I had 1 scout whos mission is to find good youngsters , 1 assistant manager and 2 coaches, with bad stats.
After looking through the squad I notice that my team has only one defender that knows what tackling and marking is, and the rest knows only one of those two and still not very good what that means. In midfield it doesn't look bad and the attack is actually looking good with 4 strikers with good stats for serie C.
My stardefender decided to twist his ankle in training even before 1 match was played and be unavailable for 6 weeks. I brought in a DC on loan(only to januari) and 3 coach/players. I only wanted them for their coaching stats, but one turned out to be a very good defender and the other a good keeper. So the defensive problem was solved.
The Serie C cup starts very soon and I had no time to play a friendly first or to see who would fit in the team. So I based my team on the squad status(6 indispendible players ) and get trashed with a 0-3 loss against our enemy Giugliano. It was the end of their indespendible status. The third match was the first time the team found the way to the goal and we won by 2-0. We were out the cup and I thought we were really in for a difficult season.
The season started with an away math against our other enemy Foggia. We beat them 0-2 and the board and I were absolutly delighted and amazed. Not for the last time during the season though.
After returning from his injury, my stardefender played 1 match(rating 9) and in the following match he was injured after 10 minutes and this for 2 months. We were doing good and stayed in the top six resulting in a fourth place at the winterbreak. I was able to sign 2 more scouts and the number of youth recommended by those tree scouts was high and I had signed quite a few of them. Result : 1 very good AMF who now has his place in the first team and a few promising others.
The weird thing is that I have hardly any income. 3 players sold for 160000 €. They aren't interested in the rest of my transferlisted players. Not even for free. When I play for 2200 people I have no gate receipts. . Playing for 2500 people returns 10k in that month. But when I look at the gate receipts for this year there is no money from gate receipts. I guess someone is stealing my gate money.
At this rate my debts keep growing. I'm now 2M in debt.
We managed to become first but then the trouble started. The press said our season would end in glory. My loaned DC returned to his team and they won't let him return on loan (i've signed him on bosman though). My stardefender got himself injured again (now for a month) and I have to use one of the recommended youngsters because he seems to know what defending is.
Ahh, gotta love those non-existent gates. The 'Little Italian' from my last game was the AM(L/C/R) on your side, a pacey little winger who's either footed. Hope he does as well for you as he did for me.
Ahhh the Red Devils of Pozzuoli... I started a game here once and got to Serie B but got relegated and a SI patch which fixed lots of bugs game out and I never went back... (quitter I know...)

Debatable whether 1 or 2 is the best movie ever made. Part 2 is certainly the best sequel of all-time.
I finaly found some time to continu my game with Puteolana.
Last time there were still 10 games to play, 6 points ahead of the second.
Trouble continued as my other good defender got injured and I had to use two youngster in the centre of my defence. It showed because after 6 games containing 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses, Guigliano levelled with me, and with a better goalratio became first in the league.
It was not only the defence that didn't perform, but the team as a whole was in a slump.
Then I could recuperate my more mature defence and things started to work out. One of those defenders is my captain and it looks like he does a good job on the field because without him the fightingspirit isn't present.
Although only gaining 7 points from the next 4 games, I see my team go for the championship because Guigliano got nervous when things got serious(only 3 points from 4 games).

The season isn't finished yet because the playoffs still have to be played, but I have allready signed 3 bosmans to strenghten my defence with 2 DC's (one is the loaned guy) and a DMC for next season.
Finances are still the big problem. With only getting 56k € income money for the entire season with an averadge attendance of 2594/game theirs no way you can make a profit. My debt has grown until 2.6M €. Nobody is interested in my players. Not even for free.
I hope this will definitly change in the next season, otherwise I'm afraid that they will bail me out with extra money and then the fun is gone. However, I could see that money as the money they stole from my income this season.
I know the feeling mate, i took over at Castel di sangro, is not easy, the players are all a bunch of donkeys. I just spent a lot of time scouring the lower leagues of portugal and managed to get some £5k signings (transfer budget was £35k for the year). Have now got promotion to the Serie B, stadium still only holds 9,000 and i am always a minimum of £12k per month over wage budget !!!!
