Obviously, seeing as I'm starting a new thread I need help and a bit of advice.
CM03/04 has been my first managerial game, so as I said, I'm new to this sort of thing. However, I have already completed one season as playing as Newcastle (winning all trophies *yawn*) so I decided to start again, as my team, Swindon Town.
Here comes my trouble, with my massive £45k transfer limit, I bought a player (surprise surprise). But with this purchase I am now 4k over my weekly wage bill. Due to this I am unable to successfully renew contracts as I am only limited to about half of what I am paying now. So, basically I need money, three of my players are wanted, with no bids as yet, also these three contracts expire at the end of the season (but all three of these are my main players, so I'd rather not sell these). I doubt many people will have played as Swindon but I would appreciate any comments about preventing myself going bust, and who I should concentrate especially on.

We don't offer tips and advice and we discourage player naming to the extent of banning it.
I know, your next question is "well what do you do here?", and the answer is we empathise with your plight and wish you all the best.
If you're looking for players, tactics or advice on the game then there's GPG, TT&T and CM GQ.
Oh, and Swindon don't really fit in with the LLM Spirit, being outside the Conference or Division 3 at worst, and if you'd read the Forum Header you'd have realised all that.

No reason why you can't have different games going on with different guidelines...not everyone wants to play every single game the LLM way.
Personally I enjoy playing LLM, but I enjoy trying other styles of play in other games too - doesn't compromise my LLM style in those games, just gives me variety - I get bored if I just do rags to riches start at the bottom every single game even though I enjoy doing that most of the time.
That's not to say I don't totally agree with the rest of the sentiments in the thread regarding the initial post and poster, just not the comment that playing one game managing Newcastle excludes you from ever playing LLM!
