Default Irish League

Ok, everyone knows about my game fast forwarding "antics" now...

But im wondering if someone can help me out..

The first season (02-03) the Irish League went from March to January...

The next it goes from March to November, and this is the first season that I manage...I take over the Cobh Ramblers halfway through the season (theyre running last in the 1st Division), and I manage to scrape into the promotion playoffs and get promoted ...My problem is, the game still refers to the seasons as double years (ie. 03-04 even tho its all in 03), the manager awards continue long after the season is over, and the draw for the next season hasnt been released yet, when it is now February...does anyone know when I find out who Im playing next year, its awfully hard to arrange friendlies when you dont have any dates...and has anyone else had any issues with the Irish League?

In the first season the Irish League play a reduced number of games, 22, in order to slot the following seasons into a "season within a calendar year" format.

This means that there's more possibility of all games being played without postponement as the worst of the winter weather is over, and the guys get to play in the Irish Summer sun.

There's no issues with player fitness, like there was with World Cup and Euro Championships in CM3.

The European Competitions are played with the team who won a season and a half ago playing in the qualifiers.

Doesn't make any difference, players are still released for International games and games rescheduled because of this.

It's still an odd idea IRL as I had to play some of my games in CM4 on the same night as World Cup 2006 matches were played!

Still got my usual crowd though, must have stuck a big screen TV in one of the stands!

What if the same team wins both competitions?... Here in Portugal the cup runner up is the one who goes to the supercup final...

hehehehe
I use "SEARCH", you know ...
The thing is... I won the league and Senior Challenge Cup, my friend won nothing at all... and I played the Presidents Cup against him...
He finished 2nd in the league and the cup final was against a D1 team...

Any thoughts?

Where's everyone else? First recorded instance of someone using the search facility in history and I'm the only bugger here!

Yes. It's possible that I was talking crap in my previous answer. Probably best ignore it.

I thought the 2nd place team in the Premiership got the Shield spot if the same team won the cup, not the runner up, they just got the UEFA Cup spot (if they aren't in it/UCL otherwise)...
