At the risk of sounding a tad patronising, haven't you guys realised this plurk's at the pĀ*isstake?

Just don't answer him and he'll go away. They always do.

flamers? what on earth are you on about? If you want to be flamed then I am sure it can be arranged.

First of all, none of this allowed business. The guidlines for scouting, training, whatever are exactly that, guidlines.

there are LLMers who do not use SYB SWYCT, scouting players before signing, I don't have a problem with that. This is because they respect the LLM way and play it the way they see fit. They are not cheating.

You are the manager so you should decide what tactic to use, what training methods. You won't rin up the arse manager and ask him would you?

The guidlines are the way the zealots play. Personally, I think they are great and challenging and use them, some people choose not to use them. It doesn't mean you think any less of them.

I believe in letting your conscience be your guide. And, as Ian says, If you have to ask if you are cheating, you probably are.

I once used an edtior, but only to fix A stadium of Publikum Celje from Slvoenia. The database ensists on Skalna klet stadium, where there is new stadium partially built and all matches are played there now.
But even this got me questioning myself, so I backedup the database.

Tim,

I'm sure you already have understood what i'm going to say, but i'll say it anyway.

There's a difference in changing teams in the same savegame, and starting a new one. In one of my current saves, i was at Barnet and now at Halifax. I thought it was ok to use the same training schedule, so i did.

When starting a new game, it's when "previous knowledge" kicks in. Some guy above said he uses the same training schedule in every game, 'cause he can't be arsed to create a new one every time. But let's face it, previous knowledge (all forms of it) is about exploiting the AI. Nothing else. I find it easier to just disregard all knowledge than to start thinking if this and that is normal LLM knowledge or NFEWM, as you named it.

Probably, when i get to have more LLM experience, i'll be able to tell the difference.

About scouting. You think that what i do is hardly LLM. I disagree. In the aforementioned savegame, most of the conference clubs are bankrupt, so i doubt if they could even use scouts IRL. And anyway, SWYCT is a guideline, and everyone is free to use them as one sees fit, AS LONG AS one keeps it realistic, and respects the LLM Ethos.

Wow nice moderation there.

I never said at the start of my thread that i adhered to the rules/guidelines of LLM, i only asked simple questions. I accept that my game taht i am currently playing does not fall within the spirit of LLM. I still stand by the success i had, i only signed players from european countries that were still with a sensible distance of the country that i was playing in. All players before i sign them get scouted, even if i have used the nygreen scout, as i dont fully trust the dedication of the players so i get a second opinion from my scouts.

I didnt come here for an argument, to change the rules or guidelines or to be subjected to sad name calling, my original line was "Ok, please no flaming this is just a quick question" meaning that i came here to try and ask a sensible question and hopefully get a sensible answer. I have had sensible answers of some people in this thread, others have had the "roston vasey" attitude which was a little disapointing when all i was trying to do was to get information on your style of gameplay to see how it works before i try playing a game in that style.

To those who helped and offered assistance thanks, to those who didnt, go back to your local shop.
