Using a transfer list is okay as long as you scout the players.
Personally, I wouldn't scour the transfer lists myself. I consider that the managers have a lot more to do. I would think that the scouts would look at the list and would recommend any players that they thought were worth a mention.

Scout next opposition. You get a tidy list of players available for loan or transfer, who can then be watched by your other scout.

Not in CM03/04... the scout just tells about the team, but his scouting list is blank.
You can recreate that though by getting a scout to scout your competition and give you a rating on just about every player in the division but I'm not convinced its realistic yet.

I loved that in CM01/02, though.

Just a quick question regarding scouting and training here, if i set 1 scout to check the next team, and also do the "Tactical training" will the 2 interact so that my players learn the tactics of the other team better based on the info from the scout ?
Bearing in mind that CM4 is a completely new game, the feature wasn't removed, it wasn't programmed in. It may be in future versions.
I'm with Jon on the realism shout wrt scouting the competition. I'd prefer if there was a tag to let you know which matches the scout had watched to formulate his opinion on the player, whether it was a League, U-19 or Reserve game, or Friendly, or even just in Training.
There's just a list that appears that would suggest he's been to about 23 games in a week.
Laxly, you're giving the AI way too much credit even asking that question. The training module's going to be rewritten and scouting in 03/04's crap. How on earth could there be any semblance of interaction between the two?

or perhaps it was just wishful thinking, along with the "why dont all training sessions join in with a training match" instead of each individual session having its own match and therefore stopping any true team building !!! lol
