This kid has "I am good" stamped into his forehead
Got the yearly new batch of youth players through the system. Usual dross, value low all except this spotty 14y. Utter carp stats, but he is valued at 100K.
Thanks for telling me game that this kid is going to be good. Did I tell you that I would of liked to have found this out for myself?
It's like a cheat. You can't tell he is good, but the game decides that you need to know straight away. Value low = carp, value high = good.

I don't necessarily agree here, but I may be in the minority. I had one of these a while back and his value diminished from 100K to 8K within 3 years before I finally got rid of the kid for nothing. He played in amost every reserve game in one season and scored 1 goal. I like my strikers to be a little more prolific than that.

The value and reputation/ability/potential thing has always got my goat.
In CM3 it was ridiculous that a Conference Team could get upwards of £5m for a player so regularly. whereas in CM4 it's been the other way around.
Players (known players admittedly) who go on to be the game's superstars are sold for £1k to about £24k by Conference and 3rd Division Teams, and no amount of negotiation can change this. (and I'm not including dodgy use of clauses in my observation).
It must be hellish to strike a happy medium when programming this (no references to Doris Stokes, btw)
