It's only hard depending on what goals you set yourself. If you want to be promoted in the next season, it appears that you are going to fail. However, if you are aiming to set the club on a sound financial footing whilst remaining in the conference, and building for promotion after that, then you have more chance of being satisfied with your achievements.

But also in reality Hereford's financial plight is well documented, and they only have a squad of 17 players, with 2 non-playing: the Manager and only one coach who also doubles as a physio. And since being dumped back into the Conference they have been perennial strugglers. It's just their current crop of players - especially their ex-Pymouth Argyle striker - have this season been playing out of their skins. If they fail to gain promotion this season I'm sure you'll see them sell players to stay afloat, sign some new trainees and once again languish in the middle of the table somewhere.

Agree there. I had some great times with CM3 playing in Italy and Spain. Great promotional systems, a good spread of divisions and the added interest of mangaing teams that you have never heard of.

This is my first real long term Conference game since CM3 00/01. I ran away when TV Rights killed the Conference Star. The refuge of Spain & Italy during the wilderness years sits as a nice memory.

I am playing in the French national league too, your right its well tricky, my board has low expectations, my "fans" are non-existant, i have no training facilities, and if it wasnt for managing to get our best player to sign a new contract, with a high min-release fee, and then sell him a few months later for that fee, we would be in massive financial trouble, we hemorage money every month, and i am massively over my wage budget. Am taking a roll of the dice and splashing out on some new players (5 for a total of £150K). Fingers crossed it works this season !

i was and do play by the LL ethics, i wouldn't be posting in here if i didn't
