Championship Manager 99/00(IIRC) came with a big pullout wallchart which had details of all the leagues on it. It included things like foreign player restrictions and it mentioned things like the Argentinian co-efficient and that Brazil could only have 2(or is it 3) foreigners.

Sadly i cant find mine any more, but it was very helpfull

It doesn't metter since Argentinian rules have been changed in CM 03/04.
I personally enjoy of finding out the league rules myself. If it is too complicated, I ask fellow LLaMas.
And I hope that Sega will introduce a box edition. A wallchart of legue rules would do good to me.

Ah yes, the great wall chart. Call me a geek if you like, but I had that stuck up on my bedroom wall. I think I ripped it though and ended up sticking it in the bin.

It was extremely helpful. I heard that someone was making an application eiyh all of the updated rules of each country and then implementing it into CM somehow. I think that was in GQ so it may have been some newbie biting off more than he can chew.

Brazil is fun because some cup/playoff ties are decided on away goals and some aren't! It always pays to check

I don't know what changes are you referring to, but the average system for promotion still stands, as well as the two tournaments per season and the promotion/relegation playoffs.
According to the football association's president, this is not going to change for a while.
