I am still fairly new to LLM and CM/FM in general. My question for any interested llamas is whether you have played in any of the more obscure locations like India, Colombia or Singapore? If you have, how does that experience compare to the more standard approach of taking an English Conference team? I am in the process of picking my next club for a true LLM game, and I don't want to invest a whole lot of time and love on a side that may not capture my fancy.
I started my game in India, their matches started with a cup which I won . Then I proceeded to try and get relegated as soon as possible (sarcastic) and I got sacked .
I am now languishing in the third Division managing my 2nd team there after I got another relegated . Honestly who are these board members who give me jobs?
Managing broad really doesn't appeal to me. I have been to Italy, Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Japan, etc and I still find more pleasure in managing an english team.
It is always a bit messy on your first year abroad as you get the mechanics of the different competitions you are in... but for me it pays afterwards...
More nations means more teams and possibility to flee from a bad luck run and make a fresh start on another continent.
Well leagues such as Singapore and Hong Kong, for example are pretty limited as they lack real depth. You can comfortably carve out a career game of say 10 seasons minimum in countries with 3+ divisions; HK and Singapore have just 1 division each. For a challenge of the experience than these places are worth a go out of interest, or even better, as part of an Asian Game say, including, India,S.Korea,Japan,HK,Singapore, and Indonesia.
Its best to stick to what you know and include a few exotic leagues so further in the game if you get bored you can give em a go, thats usually how I experiment with them.
Columbia is fun as there's 2 divisions. I played there for a while until I lost interest in CM. It was rekindled with my South America tour, which has only taken me to Brazil and Argentina.
My Standards also told me 3 divisions where available, but in my multiple leagues game I have several 2 divisions countries selected...
So, I supose it's up to whatever mood I am... If I consider the 2 divisions countries to be nothing more than a rite of passage to the more important leagues, then it's ok to me...
I think you are doing a Swedish league injustice. It is only 3 out of 72 teams, that get promoted from 2nd division. Not to mention there is no money. I also quite enjoy in Norwegian league right now.
