I have just got my laptop back from PC World after it needed a new motherboard and modem and before that I had got Rushden to League One and I was in season 2015/16 in my game. I put the save game onto a disc with all other items I wanted keeping before everything was lost yet after copying the save game back onto the computer and then finding it via the FM 'Load Game' window it won't load.

Could someone please tell me if there is anyway of getting the save game back.

if you had the patch before and havent downloaded it yet, download it again

it worked for me

Thanks, I've just tried to get the patch onto the game and it goes through the whole process until on update 47 of 47 a error message pops up saying "A sharing violation occurred while accessing CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\ Football Manager 2008\fm.exe." Does anyone know why this is happening and how it can be cured?

You can't execute the patch and have the game running at the same time.

Exited the game and the patch worked which in turn made the game work. Thanks for all your help.
