I started my career with Sheffield United and Won the League.
Now promoted i stated we could avoid relegation and was given £7million to spend. Spend it all and due to my excelent managerial capabilities (and a hell of a lot of luck) we managed to finish 9th.
Time for a new contract. I was offered a two year deal with the long term expectation of avoiding relegaion within 2 years.
A good contract - especialy with the 2nd season syndrome (as seen irl with wigan)
When it comes to selecting my squad expectations the minimum i can say is Mid-Table. With the pittance of a transfer fund i knew this was impossible.
7 Games to go and were 4 points clear of the drob zone but its not good enough. And despite being set to match the clubs long term ambitions i was clearing my desk after a 2-2 draw with 4th placed villa.
Harsh and i do feel bitter but i want to know if anything like this has happened to anyone else?

Does seem bizzare that your long term expectation was to avoid relegetion, but you could only select "mid-table finish" or higher as a short term goal This is a major issue
imo and SI must fix it in the patch.
I'm about to start my 2nd season with Spurs. First season I took the top-half option, but on the confidence screen this rose to "European qualification throught the league", odd to say the least. If I knew that would happen I would have selected that option and taken the extra transfer and wage budgets, I feel a bit ripped off
2nd season I take the same option, but the original 2 yr plan was to be challanging for the title, so why was I offered anything lower? Surely my only options should have been to challenge or win the title
