First season with West Ham and lie top at the start of February.
Got 30 Million in Transfer fees at start of season and brought in Giles Barnes, Makoun, Briand and Ignasivevich, which left little in the kitty.
Despite being top the Board are not happy with a 4-3 away defeat in the Carling Cup at Arsenal and the fans are not happy with me signing Makoun although he is doing alright for me.
January Transfer window and now the board are becoming slightly concerned at the Clubs Finances, £9 Million in red but are happy with my handling of the wage budget. To relieve things they injected £1.5 Million into the account (teriffic!!!)
I can't shift anyone I want to shift. Bowyer, Boa Morte, Quashie all for under 500 grand but no takers.
If I can hold out Champions League Football may help the finances somewhat but am I going to get fired before then? Anything is possible with this irritating Board Confidence..
Top two since August and not one Manager of the Month Award?? Work that one out.
Mate I think you should be fine as long as your performances on the park are good. I had a similar situation with a saved game, we were 4 mill in the red and had an escalating wage budget so I had to do it for the finances, sell a few players, get some cash, reduce wages and then I bought younger but still good players to replace them at lower wages.
You should be fine. At the end of the season you will get prize money which should put you back in the black. Not sure how much, but I think I got 16.5 million pounds for finishing 7th.
Wouldn't worry too much about the cup loss or Makoun, the board always has to complain about something no matter how small, a slight flaw within the game imo. Lets be honest, being top with West Ham is a great achievement, so one defeat and a possible dodgy signing shouldn't matter too much.
You wont get the sack for being 9 million in the red because my fiorentina side were losing 2 million a month and i think i must have been over 20 million in the red all season and they never fired me. soo i think you'll be fine
