I am coming to the end of my first season as Tranmere Manager and have just been promoted prior to the end of the season. However, i don't feel my board will provide me with enough funding to b able to stay up. I am interested in a few players coming to the end of their contracts. When is the earliest point that i can approach them. If so, how do i go about doing it????

Abroad = you can approach around 6 months before their contracts expire. Usually around January.

UK = you can approach 6 weeks before contract expiry.

Oh, and regarding how to do it, simply right-click the players name. If you are able to approach him, it should say "Approach to sign".

I know that as an English team you can approach players in Scottish teams 6 months before, it's probably the same for Welsh, and N. Irish teams players but I've not run those leagues in my current games so there are no players to try and sign from them.
