Playing a dangerous game here so wanted advice.
My contract is coming up on my current save and I am playing a long term game with my ambition being to go from confrence south to World Cup winning England Manager, starting with no reputation.
Started well but feel the time is right to move club side, even if that means dropping down a division to get a club with better facilities etc.
So I'm thinking of rejecting a new contract with the idea being If I don't have a contract I maybe a more attractive proposition to a new club (no compensation) - I also want to reject it out of principal as they never increase by wage (silly I know it makes no difference to the game - but I keep thinking I could never live off that!)
However my dilemma is I don't want to become unemployed so my question is if I reject their final offer do I lose my job? Might they then come back with one last better off at the end of the year? or can you continue as an out of contract manager?
I'm sure IRL some managers have stayed at their clubs without contracts?
If you reject you simply get fired.
But i see you don't want to be unemployed, so my suggestion would be to accept the contract and apply for jobs that come available where you think you have a chance to get hired for.
You can also try to negotiate better conditions in your contract, but they might refuse and fire you.
