Default Inputting a Team Into FM - Realistic Attributes

Hi guys,

First post, bit nervous!

I am going to go through the ardous process of adding my team to FM tonight and have them take the place of a Conference South Side.

My main question is:

I don't want my club or players to be over-realistically good. Our club have recently won the FA Vase @ Wembley and many of the players are probably of Conference South level, and the club has ambitions/finances to match. However, I don't want to put them on as a super-power. With regards to the players, I want to input some of their 'stronger' areas (e.g heading) but am happy for the rest to be randomised. Is this possible?

Secondly, what are realistic attributes for players at this level?

Any help in making it easier in setting this up tonight - appreciated!

Surely your team will be on the game, if they have won the F.A Vase

You could just not set them and get random stats. Or just check the stats of players from other teams and match your lads up with theirs

yeah, the random stats thing works, when i did something like this a few years back, my team was very overrated and stormed all the way up to the old division 1. second time round, i only input everones best three attributes. much harder and more realistic of our abilities back then.

Tom indeed they are. However, I need to replace the m with a Conference South side.

OK so I will need to input all the stats. I guess a yard stick is just find some other Conference South players. Maybe actually rate players out of 10 if you like - i.e there best skill is heading and they are really good at it = 10 / 20.

??

Have you checked the players? Because some if not most of them should be on the game. Including you!!!

Just out of interest who do you play for?

You could just look at the average sort of CA in Conference South and make sure all the players you create have the same CA. Then just put in 0's for all the stats you want to be random, in that case, the players should be at a sensible level.

Its not Truro City from Cornwall is it??

They are definetly in the DB but you might want to add a Sugar Daddy as chairman if it is Truro because they are rich!! Just spent £10,000 on a player in the South-Western league!!

If I'm following this thread accurately, shouldn't you just be able to open the editor, go to Blue Square South, pick a team that you don't want in the league any more (single click it), click on "swap" at the bottom, go find your team, double click it, go to "save database as" and you'll be good to go.

It seems like every single team in the world is in the game, they just might not always be in a playable league.
