i've only really heard about owen - just assuming that the same will apply to cisse.

newcastle will get owen's wages paid by the fa until he's fit again, and a sum of money to replace him.

news reports today suggest a £6m bid for Dirk Kuyt.

Again, this is all from things I've read so it is possible that none of it is true but something to consider anyway

In fact almost all of the teams are in the wrong phase.

having a look at the db, you have put most of the clubs in the right competition (not all, e.g. panathinakos).

However you have not done any of the seedings (that or completely wrong, there is no 4th seed for uefa cup for example, but apparantly that's where gretna are), this is resulting in the wrong teams entering at completely the wrong rounds.

Ill take a look at this Steven, cheers for bringing it up. The only problem i have when doing updates like this is end of season changes to leagues (e.g Conference) & the number of teams in europe from each country as it varies

You may need to change the co-efficients in order to get celtic in the 1st round correctly (move the co-efficients back one and input this years for the nation in last years slot).
