i have been running into dead ends trying to write the exstemsion edt on a mac, i have used notepad amd text edit, but none of these allows me to put the exstension edt on it. I would like to know this so i can swap two teams. Please some one help me.
0i understand that but it wont allow me to put edt at the end. I guess what i want is osmeone to tell me how to when saving it save it with all files because this is what i get this, you cannot save this document with the exstension edt at the end of the name. The required exstension is rtf.
Save it as an .rtf or .txt or whatever textedit tells you it has to be saved as then just rename the file in OSX to retainedplayers.edt. OSX will ask you whether you want to change teh file type telling you that to do so may change teh ability of programs to access the document. Just click "use .edt" and all should be well...
thank you so much mate, this helps alot. but i get the file to show up on the preferences and i checked it, yet when i start a new game hednesford are still in the conference and fc are not.
I could be misunderstanding how they work, but I think that any that you check are ignored. I think. Don't quote me on that though.
Unless you actually want Harchester in the league in your game, i think you need to leave their box checked, the same applies for any edt file you make yourself.
Basically, look at the Harchester edt file, if it has a tick beside it, do the opposite for your edt file, unless you already have Harchester in your game... In which case do the same.
