Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default A very big thank you!

Hello, I signed up to this forum earlier this week and I have found the posts on tactics & training a massive help!

I had topped playing FM 07 for awhile because I was having no luck with it and decided footy management isn't for me.

However I thought I'd check the forums out for some hints and tips and now I am seeing good results.

My team is Q.P.R. and I did two games with them, both games saw me bottom by christmas and on the verge of the sack. I ended up in the Conference South managing St.Albans and Harrow.

This time I decided to start with Blackpool in League One. I am currently 3rd in March! And the board expected me to battle against relegation.

I spent a lot of time checking these boards for tips on tactics, training, players etc. and it has worked.

So thank you everyone for your time to post your stories, ideas, systems etc. etc. I am very grateful.

Hey guys thanks for replying!

The threads which helped me were the sticky ones at the top of the forum. I used quite a few to be honest so I can't pin point any in particular.

The Blackpool game finished with much sucess!

I finished in 2nd place in League One on 80 points with Crewe level on 80 points in 3rd position. Luckily we had 2 goals more than them!

Also lucky was Matt Jansen scoring a 93rd minute winner on the last game of the season to beat Brentford 2-1. This last kick of the game resulted in automatic promotion!

If I never read these forums then I probably would not have had so much fun playing this game!

Thanks again!

P.S.

I am now dreading the challenge of The Championship next season lol :p
