I can't seem to figure it out,i have an idea but i m not so sure about it,so my question is what s the relation between team and individual instructions,let s say my MC individual mentality is 10,and my team mentality is 16,so how does team m. influences his individual m.?

There's been quite a bit of discussion around that subject lately. Personally, I have tested it and found no link between them. I'm of the opinion that, like all other sliders in the game, individual overrides global.

However, you can test this yourself. Tick all of your players individual mentality sliders. Set them to 5 or 15. Then watch the full match and keep playing around with team mentality. Then draw your conclusions.

I'm of the humble opinion that individual mentality acts as a 'player positioning & agression tool'... whereas team mentality is the instruction on how to play (ie attacking or defensive)

Those used to override individual instructions back in FM06. Now, I'm not so sure, haven't really tested it, to tell the truth.

Same here. Rarely use individual mentalities anyway, don't see any need to really.

I for one tried switching between ultra defensive/gung-ho global team instruction when all my players were assigned their own individual mentalities, and noticed no difference. So my conclusion is that the global setting is merely a shortcut for setting the mentality of your players who have no individual instructions and nothing more.

The way ive always tended to think it works is that all your individual player mentalities come first and the team slider kinda builds them all up or down.Like if you set the team PASSING slider to normal,then move it 4 clicks to the right all the players play a "more direct" style of passing by an increased percentage (say 20%)to what their individual PASSING setting is.
So if you set your AMC to short passing he just passes a bit (20%)more direct ,NOT nearly direct as the Team Passing slider indicates.
Does this make sence? does anyone else think like this?
