if you've been successful with your club, then theres a good chance you've started encountering teams that play defensive possession football. i know i have as i have done the treble the last 2 seasons, this season i'm struggling to score as many goals as previous seasons, but am conceding just as many as previous seasons (not alot, around 20 over the whole season). really hard to meet the boards, fans and media expectation of winning the league if you can't score the goals.
i read the tactical theorems and frameworks information, and noticed it mentioned to be more attacking against defensive sides, atleast when playing at home. i tried this and had even less success. so i resorted to fighting fire with fire, or in this case defensive against defensive, and what do ya know, i started scoring goals again and getting the wins i needed to start moving up the table. seems a bit strange, must make for a boring game for the fans, probably why my avg attendance hasn't gone up even though the stadium capacity has.
just gotta sort out the wingers so that more goals can be scored, they'rr not providing assists or goals this season
