Ok there is plenty of discussion regarding the shots on and not scoring. Well here is something I have proved to be true.
I think in 08 more than ever before the Decisions and Composure abilities are absolutley vital if you want a a striker who takes chances.
Try this out, if your striker is struggling and you have one who has higher stas in Com and Dec, then swap them for a few games.
I find an absolute lethal combo is High Decisions, composure and pace and acceleration.
The other tip i will plug, Is if your defenders arenot all top quality players ( I.e you arn't a world class club team, then forget playing "Zone Marking" I am sure that this counts for plenty of people complaining about getting scored on so much. Just remeber that if Man marking you will have to drop your line if the opositions strikers are faster.
Again free tip, go for high marking, tackels, heading for centre backs and then look at also getting them with pace if you can.
