I'm in the summer of 2008/09 and only have Berbatov, Cear Delgado and Farfan(though I prefer him as a AML). I do like pacy strikers, but could use some one with some ability in the air too. Just need a decent all-rounder as cover.
Ideas appreciated.

Salvador Cabañas? Signing him as Ashton/Zamora backup on my hammers game, plays for América (Mex), has got some nice all round stats (17 jumping, 18 heading, 16 pace, 20 finishing) but his dribbling leaves a bit to be desired.
He hasn't made his debut yet, but he looks like he'll be solid for me

He certainly looks useful, might be my man
The clan isn't on for 2 more hours, so keep any ideas coming, cheers

Cabañas cost me 4 mil up front, so you should be able to get someone else if needed. Frazier Campbell is fast and can score, but is rubbish in the air. Zampagna of Atlanta has great physical and some insane finishing/composure, but is old and has the first touch and dribbling of a drunk horse. Liedson has good physical and technical, but low composure.
Other than that you could try and negotiate a deal with lots of clauses for someone like Iaquinta? If you're really desperate you could land Inzaghi, should get him really cheap with great technical and mental, but he's on the decline physically. He can still jump and run to the standard of an average prem defence, but against bigger clubs he'd have to have the ball played to him.
That's about all the guys I've seen for cheap recently, hope it helps.
